Sam of Creative Carpentry & Design was a pleasure to work with. I liked him instantly, I liked that he listened to my ideas but also had great suggestions and ways to take my (somewhat disjointed!) ideas into a solid plan that addressed our needs.
Sam turned our underused sunporch into an office. The space has a long narrow layout with windows covering nearly all the wall surfaces. He designed a desk unit with two work stations, plenty of storage, reworked an existing built-in bookcase to match and be more functional as well as added a closet/wardrobe size storage cabinet. It’s my favorite room in the house!
He has a great eye for detail and design and works tirelessly to make sure it looks exactly right. He also worked around my crazy part time work schedule coming to work on the days I was home. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

Sam and his team at Creative Carpentry & Design did a beautiful and professional job renovating and building an addition on our family’s 100+ year old. Sam’s attention to detail, thoughfulness and care was of the highest quality. He was “hands-on” in both work and supervision of his own staff and of sub-contractors. Additionally, Sam and his team were respectful of my home and friendly and kind to my children. We lived at home during our renovation and had three very young children at the time. Sam always kept his work site safe and neat. Our children looked forwarded to their prompt arrival each day. We highly recommend Sam and his team!

Creative Carpentry did a large renovation of our home about 9 years ago and has renovated a basement and spare room/bathroom for us in the last 5 years. We had our kitchen completely redone by creative carpentry — from floor to, and including the ceiling. We couldn’t be happier. The work was of highest quality, Sam and his staff were easy to have around the house, any outside vendors they used were also high quality and well supervised and they left their work space in fine condition every night. The project was also finished on schedule which was a unique experience for us as none of our other major construction projects have had the same “on-time” performance.
